At SOOFA Ranch, our Confidence & Connection Youth Group Therapy program uses Equine-Assisted Therapy to help children and teens build confidence, emotional regulation, and healthy social skills—all in a peaceful, empowering ranch environment.

🐴 Why Horses?

Horses are intuitive, honest, and nonjudgmental—making them powerful partners in therapy. They reflect emotions, offer immediate feedback, and help participants safely explore their feelings and behaviors.

Meet Aspen...


A quiet, shy young man who rarely spoke up, struggled with confidence, and had a hard time connecting with others. Traditional therapy didn’t seem to stick. But something incredible happened when he met Wisdom, a spirited, retired racehorse known for being a challenge.

Where others backed away, Aspen leaned in. His calm energy and silent strength matched Wisdom’s bold spirit. Slowly, trust began to grow. Aspen found his voice—not just with Wisdom, but with himself and the world around him. 

That’s the power of the right environment—and the right program.

  • Youth ages 9–18

  • Children experiencing:

    • Behavioral challenges at school or home

    • Trouble with emotional control or frequent mood shifts

    • Social anxiety, isolation, or low self-esteem

  • Parents looking for an alternative to traditional therapy

🗓️ Weekly Sessions by Age Group (Starting August 12, 2025)

  • Tuesdays: Elementary Students

  • Wednesdays: Middle School Students

  • Thursdays: High School Students

💲 Cost: $40/week
